 While regular classes are always welcome to walk-ins, and most special events and pop up classes have unlimited space, some do not. If the event description says RSVP, please do so. We need to know the number of people showing up to class, either because of the set up that happens before class starts or limited space. Either way, if you do not pre register on our schedulicity account or by contacting the instructor, you may be turned away at the time of the event. Gentle Flow with Amy Rhodes

 Join Amy Rhodes for another POP UP class at OmBody! This 60 minute class is perfect for regulars to Amy's class and beginners alike. Go through basic movements, become familiar (or re-familiar) with poses and body cues while stretching your muscles and exercising your body.

Our regular restorative class will move from 5:00pm to 6:30pm on the day of Amy's Gentle Flow class. This will allow you to move, stretch and exercise before calming down with Restorative Yoga.
In a restorative practice, you are guided into light twists, seated forward folds, and gentle backbends with the aid of props that allow you to hold poses longer, giving you all the benefits of deep, passive stretching. Longer held poses are beneficial for both your physical and mental balance, preventing stress and anxiety through rest and relaxation. The only “requirement” for restorative yoga is that practitioners are 100% comfortable at all times. To help make this possible for everyone in class, modifications are suggested for all poses.

 Join Leann Beatty, LMT, and Amy Rhodes, RYT, as they host a mindful stroll on the beautiful Sheepskin Trail. Enjoy the fresh sent of Jasmine, the light breeze from the moving stream and songs of native birds while pausing for both a guided meditation and a gentle yoga session amidst Uniontown’s very own natural oasis.
In  the event of inclement weather meditation and Yoga will be held in OmBody Studio.

HIIT with Tara Spaw Fronczek

Join Tara Spaw Fronczek for her unique and thoughtfully crafted HIIT class. 

HIIT is a training technique in which you give all-out, one hundred percent effort through quick bursts of low impact exercise, followed by short recovery periods. Pilates, ballet and barre inspired moves are incorporated to keep your heart rate up, therefor burning more fat in less time, while strengthening and lengthening muscles. This all over toning class is perfect for beginners looking to kickstart a healthier routine and fitness enthusiasts alike.   

Tara Spaw Fronczek holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance with a Jazz concentration from Point Park University, and an Associate in Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant from California University of Pennsylvania. 

Tara spent several years as a professional dancer performing at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Holland America Cruise Lines, and Stiletto Entertainment.  For five years, Tara was the owner of Katy Lyon Dance Center, and now continues to teach at Lanzi Academy of Dance. She currently works full time as a Physical Therapist Assistant for Physical Therapy at the Orthopedic Group. 

In addition to her dance and P.T. education, Tara is a certified Pilates instructor in mat and Reformer, trained in manual myofascial release techniques, and holds a specialty certification in orthopedics PTA from Nxt Gen Institute of PT. 

Tara is thrilled to be a part of the OMBody family and is looking forward to connecting with all the great clients in our area.

Join Leann Beatty, LMT and Jenny Dayton, RYT, as they guide you through a series of restorative and yin yoga postures supported by bolsters, pillows, blankets and other props. Once you are in a comfortable position, Leann’s expert hands will compress, pull and stretch your body in deep static and rhythmic pressure, otherwise known as Thai massage. This practice is done fully clothed and on a floor mat.

Rather than forcing your own body into active yoga stretches, Thai massage allows you to be relaxed and comfortable while you are passively stretched. This simple act allows your muscles to be coaxed into a healthier state of being. Passive stretching is especially helpful for tight muscles in your hips and gluteals, which is the most common cause of low back pain.

To assist is optimal relaxation, CBD topical salve will be applied to specific areas of tension. CBD oil has been found to help reduce blood pressure, alleviate stress and speed up the recovery of muscles that have experienced injury or overuse. By applying CBD topicals directly to the affected areas, the cannabinoid's natural anti-inflammatory effects can help to reduce the inflammation and therefore relieve any discomfort being experienced due to sore muscles. CBD works by interacting with the endocannabinoid system, which is responsible for regulating sleep, memory, pain and immune function. Cannabinoids that are naturally produced in the body interact with this system to influence these factors, and CBD (a cannabinoid itself) can also interact with the endocannabinoid system to induce similar effects. Soundbath Meditation

Saturday, July 27, 10:00-11:00am

 Sound bathing is a type of meditation. Kick back and relax and listen the sounds of singling bowls led by Sharon Hovland. Feel the vibrations in your body of the sounds. This is an ancient healing practice known to clear negative energy in the body. Together, we will reach deep states of relaxation and meditation. Leave feeling “re-tuned”, restored and rebalanced. During this session, Jenny Dayton will also be performing AromaTouch application of doTERRA essential oils to the hands and head for an added touch of healing!

OmBody Kids Celebration

wednesday, august 7, 1:00-4:00pm

 OmBody Kids workshops foster creativity and balance kids' emotional and physical health. In this summer workshop we will be teaming up with Phoenix Arts Center and Goodie Girls, leading the kids on a journey of yoga, painting mandalas and decorating cakes! All activities will be held at 90 W. Main Street. Parents may drop off children at OMBody on 3rd floor 1 pm and pick up at Goodie Girls 1st floor 4 pm. Cost is $40 per child and registration is required. space is limited to 10 kids ages 7-12. During this time parents may also book any service with OMBody for 10% off so you can relax while your kids play.
