Because we love it! Our teachers have a great love for the art of yoga! They all have their unique style and specialties, but all are passionate in the desire to share this wonderful practice. It's more than just a workout. Yoga is a body-mind connection and can be an amazing part of a healthy life style.
Our teachers pay a small fee for their time in the studio, but the majority of your class fee goes to our teachers. Always feel free to tip a little more if you just loved that class, these guys don't do it for the money, but they definitely deserve paid for their time and talent! Most regular classes are $15 but teachers may set their own price or offer class passes. Teachers may set separate individual pricing for special events and pop-up classes.
All Levels Yoga is exactly what it sounds like; a practice built from the ground up and for everyone. Every class begins by bringing attention to the most essential component of yoga, focus on the breath. You are then guided through gentle movements and stretches, increasing in depth and difficulty as class continues. Variations to add or lesson intensity are suggested throughout class, giving you the opportunity to make this your own practice.
Power Vinyasa is a warm, fluid, and quick sequence of movements designed to engage your cardiovascular system, when connected to the breath. While Powerful poses are often incorporated to build strength, variations are offered to reduce intensity, making this a fast-moving practice for everyBODY. Please keep in mind, as this a
quick-paced class, more emphasis is put on deepening the practice
than on explanations of poses and body cues.
This abdominal focused Core Balance class provides you a deeper sense of strength and stability. We will practice a series of core postures and breathing techniques that are challenging and energizing, while modifications are always offered for the beginner. A stronger core takes pressure off the lower back and improves our posture and overall balance. We will also explore how to balance and activate samana vayu, our energy body located at navel center, which oversees the digestion of everything from food to thoughts. All levels welcome.
Hatha Yoga in the Himalayan Tradition emphasizes both stability and ease in body, mind, and breath. “Simple” poses are profound, beginner’s mind is encouraged, and loads of variations are offered. Classes move at a steady pace with a balance of “flow” to cultivate ease, and holding poses to cultivate strength. Each class culminates in a guided relaxation to soothe and / or energize the nervous system, and many classes include guided breathwork or a short meditation. Hatha Yoga is more than postures, and suitable for any experience level … It is a truly holistic practice based in a living tradition of thousands of years. We hope you will join us.
A practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body. In Restorative Yoga, you are guided into light twists, seated forward folds, and gentle backbends with the aid of props that allow you to hold poses longer, giving you all the benefits of deep, passive stretching. Longer held poses are beneficial for both your physical and mental balance, preventing stress and anxiety through rest and relaxation. The only “requirement” for restorative yoga is that practitioners are 100% comfortable at all times. To help make this possible for everyone in class, modifications are suggested for all poses.
An all levels Vinyasa Flow class taught from a therapeutic perspective. We begin with a slow flow of sun salutations to build warmth and energy in the body, then end with grounding postures that build body awareness, balance and strength. Essential oils are incorporated in each class.
