Why do we share Yoga?

Because we love it!  Our teachers love the art and science of Yoga! They all have their unique style and specialties, and all are passionate in the desire to share this wonderful practice. It's more than just a workout - it's a "working within." Yoga practices remind us of our body-mind connection and can be an integral part of a healthy life style.

What are class fees?

Our teachers pay a small fee for their time in the studio, but the majority of your class fee goes to our teachers.  Always feel free to tip a little more if you just loved that class. Our teachers don't do it for the money, but they definitely deserve paid for their time and talent! Most regular classes are $15 but teachers may set their own price or offer class passes. Teachers may set separate individual pricing for special events and pop-up classes.

 Flow Yoga classes offer the opportunity to enjoy moving in your body. These classes are suited for a variety of practitioner experience levels, so check the latest schedule to find your perfect fit! Every class begins by bringing attention to the most essential component of yoga, focus on the breath, which guides the rest of the practice. You are then guided through gentle movements and stretches, increasing in depth and difficulty as class continues. Variations to increase or decrease intensity are suggested throughout class, giving you the opportunity to make this your own practice.

From the most ancient texts on Yoga, the practices originated in order that practitioners could sit in meditation for extended periods of time. Meditation IS Yoga!


At its foundation, according to the Yoga Sutras (the primary text of modern Yoga), Meditation is the "calming of the fluctuations of the mind" so that we can discover our inherent, best selves and go out and BE that best self in the world. And when each of us can BE our best selves, the world gets so much better - kinder, more compassionate, more community-minded. 


We offer a variety of meditation classes, from different traditions and worldviews. We encourage you to try them all and find the style that works for you!

  Hatha Yoga in the Himalayan Tradition emphasizes both stability and ease in body, mind, and breath. “Simple” poses are profound, beginner’s mind is encouraged, and loads of variations are offered. Classes move at a steady pace with a balance of “flow” to cultivate ease, and holding poses to cultivate strength. Each class culminates in a guided relaxation to soothe and / or energize the nervous system, and many classes include guided breathwork or a short meditation. Hatha Yoga is more than postures, and suitable for any experience level … It is a truly holistic practice based in a living tradition of thousands of years. 


We offer a variety of Hatha-based classes, including Yoga for Mobility, Hatha Vinyasa w/ Light Weights, as well as a variety of workshops based in Hatha philosophy and practice.

Restorative Yoga

A practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body. In Restorative Yoga, you are guided into light twists, seated forward folds, and gentle backbends with the aid of props that allow you to rest in poses for 5-15 minutes, giving you all the benefits of deep, passive stretching. Longer held poses are beneficial for both your physical and mental balance, preventing stress and anxiety through rest and relaxation. The only “requirement” for restorative yoga is that practitioners use props in order to feel 100% comfortable and supported at all times. To help make this possible for everyone in class, modifications are suggested for all poses.

Vinyasa Flow

 Vinyasa means "breath-to-movement." Vinyasa Flow classes link postures in a flowing sequence, prioritizing smooth, deep breathing throughout. Classes usually begin with a gentle warm-up, followed by a slow flow of sun salutations to build warmth and energy in the body. Topic-specific postures are incorporated according to the theme of the class that build body awareness, balance and strength. Class ends with grounding postures  and a guided relaxation.


We offer Gentle Vinyasa Flow for beginner yogis and/or those seeking an easy-going practice ... as well as intermediate Vinyasa Flow classes for the more experienced yogi.

Chair Yoga is a wonderful, accessible practice for all ages and stages of life. Whether you're seeking a recovery day practice, experiencing limited mobility due to injury or illness, or simply don't feel like being on the floor :) that day, Chair Yoga offers amazing benefits!


Chair yoga classes  are appropriate for all experience levels of yoga (or no experience at all!). Classes are themed, and mobilize all the major joints in the body, gently tone and stretch the muscles and finish with a guided relaxation to center your mind.
